Extracted Pods: Adrian Ianetti
I am a first year architecture student at Pratt Institute.
This semester was focused on creating formal systems through the application of rules. We created our own rules and applied those rules to form space. The final project is a result of hybridizing two separate systems to create a proposal for an architectural folly.
Description: A proposal for an architectural folly. The design is a result of two different design approaches that were hybridized. In this case, the two approaches started with drawings created through subdivision. The drawings were then overlaid on each other and certain shapes were extracted. These shapes were used to form three different scale pods of space. The wooden structural elements were added to strengthen the project but also served as extensions for new possible pods.
