Personal Information: We got our Bachelor of Architecture degree at Iowa State University. This is almost last project we did at ISU. The professor’s name is Mitchell Squire.
Statement: Our project seeks to inform federal and state policymakers of the critical role that science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education plays in U.S. competitiveness and future economic prosperity. BUT there is one difference: We intend to change the acronym by including A = ART, and thus show the importance of the vibrant relationship between traditional technological agendas and the more traditional creative disciplines aligned under the heading of art, and how together they can cultivate a vibrant economy and cultural force in cities.
Progressive architecture, which seems to some to be weighted in the area of art, has to the contrary always spanned creative, scientific, technological, engineering and mathematic disciplines as well as others.
We are in effect attempting to design a utopia of STEAM.
