Session 2 — Monday, February 25th @ 7:30 pm > 10:30 pm
Physical Workshop Only
Structures 1 is an academic course, offered for Undergraduate and Graduate students in universities. Structures 1 is a course required to graduate with an Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Architecture degree. Structures 1 entails the investigation of structural materials, connections and details as outlined by appropriate codes and specifications for conducting analysis and design of structures under gravity loads. For Structures 1, students are needed to do extensive mathematical calculations such as vector forces, beam loads and reactions, and moment of inertia. This review, will be of aid to students that are currently taking Structures 1 and/or would like to know how to calculate concrete beams for structures in Architectural Design.
The is a 3 HOUR review that will introduce participants to the basics of Structural Design 1. It will explore different concepts used in structures and familiarize participants with all Structures 1 calculations.
The cost to reserve spot before attending the workshop, either day = $20 (Recommended)
Cost of showing up, the day-of, without reservation =$25
